BOTOX® Cosmetic is an exciting new treatment for the reduction of wrinkles caused by excessive muscle action. Last year, BOTOX® Cosmetic was one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the country. Extremely dilute amounts of BOTOX® Cosmetic are injected directly into facial muscles to relax them. This can result in significant improvement of forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and wrinkling between the eyebrows. Several quick injections can provide results that last 3-6 months. Side effects are minimal, very unlikely, and usually short lived. This same medicine can also be used for people with hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the hands and armpits) who have failed other therapies. Injection of BOTOX® can inhibit sweating for up to 15 months!

Sclerotherapy is the treatment of dilated blood vessels in the legs by injecting various substances into the blood vessels to scar them down and make them disappear. Despite a proliferation of vascular lasers which are available, injection is still the gold standard to which other methods are compared. Depending on the number and degree of vessels you have to be treated, several sessions may be necessary, but the results can be quite dramatic. In general, lasers may take 2-3 treatments to arrive at the same results as a single session of sclerotherapy. Lasers may also be more painful than sclerotherapy with a needle since the laser has to be shot all along a bloodvessel, instead of just once (with the needle).
We are pleased to offer the services of Susan Rhyan PA-C who will be offering sclerotherapy in our clinic, at a reduced price. Call today for a consultation.
We offer various fillers which can be used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Additional fillers or new products will be added when available and FDA approved. Ask your doctor which filler would be best for your area of concern.
