Lumenis One Intense Pulsed Light System

The Lumenis One is a fourth generation flagship intense pulsed light system offering the latest technological advancements. Photorejuventation with the Lumenis One can be used to treat any area of the body. It helps reduce age/sun spots, broken blood vessels, freckles, and mottled pigmentation. We can also use it in conjunction with a photosensitizing agent which can be very effective in treating acne and is an excellent photorejuvenation method. Diode Laser

The diode laser is basically erases small blood vessels on the face. This magic is accomplished with no scarring and minimal inflammation. It is ideal for “spider vessles” on the face or nose, but can also be used for other benign growths as well. It can also be used to treat solar lentigines (sun freckles), sebaceous hyperplasia (enlarged oil glands). and cherry angiomas (small red “blood moles”).

Chemical Peels

We also carry a complete line of peels, allowing you to tailor the treatment to your needs and/or budget. All of the peels can make the skin look and feel fresh and rejuvenated, with varying amounts of exfoliation. They can even out the pigmentation in the skin, tighten the pores, and eliminate or soften fine wrinkles.

Glycolic acid peel - an alphahydroxy acid peel which freshens the skin, exfoliates, and is the least expensive of the group. This is a very superficial peel and the glycolic acid will remove the top layers of dead skin without the burning or irritation associated with other peels. Improved skin texture and appearance is the result.

B-lift peel - a betahydroxy acid (salicylic acid) is used as the peeling agent, which penetrates into the pores much better than the glycolic acid. Great for whiteheads, blackheads, exfoliation, evening out the pigmentation, tightening pores, and improvement of fine wrinkles.

Obagi Blue Peel® - a trichloroacetic acid peel which is capable of achieving various depths of peel, allowing the peel to be superficial or more aggressive depending on your needs. Combined with the Obagi Nu Derm skin line, this peel offers more significant improvement in wrinkling and texture and more rapid improvement in skin pigmentation irregularities. A free facial is included with this peel, which can speed exfoliation of the skin. Call and schedule an appointment with Dr. Angeloni for a consultation on the Blue peel.

Microdermabrasion - this is also known as the lunchtime peel or power-peel. This is yet another weapon in the war against signs of aging skin. Microdermabrasion is a mode of treatment that gently abrades superficial layers of the skin. It is designed to remove some layers of skin with each treatment. Repetition of this process helps with reducing and eliminating fine lines, wrinkles, improving stretch marks, pigmentary changes and helps with acne scarring. These light microdermabrasion peels, when performed in a series of several treatments, can soften fine lines around the eyes and definitely lighten brown spots. It is quick and non-wounding to the skin. You can apply makeup and, in most cases, be back to work that afternoon without any telltale signs.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is an exciting new treatment for the reduction of wrinkles caused by excessive muscle action. Last year, BOTOX® Cosmetic was one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the country. Extremely dilute amounts of BOTOX® Cosmetic are injected directly into facial muscles to relax them. This can result in significant improvement of forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and wrinkling between the eyebrows. Several quick injections can provide results that last 3-6 months. Side effects are minimal, very unlikely, and usually short lived. This same medicine can also be used for people with hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the hands and armpits) who have failed other therapies. Injection of BOTOX® can inhibit sweating for up to 15 months!

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is the treatment of dilated blood vessels in the legs by injecting various substances into the blood vessels to scar them down and make them disappear. Despite a proliferation of vascular lasers which are available, injection is still the gold standard to which other methods are compared. Depending on the number and degree of vessels you have to be treated, several sessions may be necessary, but the results can be quite dramatic. In general, lasers may take 2-3 treatments to arrive at the same results as a single session of sclerotherapy. Lasers may also be more painful than sclerotherapy with a needle since the laser has to be shot all along a bloodvessel, instead of just once (with the needle).

We are pleased to offer the services of Kim Cain ARNP who will be offering sclerotherapy in our clinic, at a reduced price. Call today for a consultation.
